The prospex alpanist gained popularity with collectors and adventurers alike thanks to its upgraded automatic calibre 6R55 allowing for up to 3 days power reserve, sunburst dial, screw down crown allowing for 200m of water resistance and an inner compass bezel to aid navigation, these watches where originally designed for mountaineers and explorers alike to keep reliability in treacherous terrain. This new release features an archive-inspired teal blue dial with the traditional ‘alpinist’ logo as seen on the original 1950’s models as well as now allowing for anti magnetism of up to 4800 a/m.
