The Seiko 5 Sports Field collection was created with a military design – taking inspiration from a vintage style originally called a ‘trench watch,’ created to be robust and reliable in tough conditions – echoing the Seiko 5 Sports characteristics.
The new bezel makes this the first Seiko Field design to have bi-directional functionality. It also features a compass indication. This is also the first Field watch in a 41mm design. It has renewed bezel knurling for enhanced functionality and a gear-like aesthetic. The khaki-coloured dial matches the khaki double-pull nylon strap, which adds to the military/outdoor style. It is made from ‘Cordura,’ which was originally designed for heavy-duty military and industrial use for its waterproof and durable properties.
